Hey Everyone,
My name is Gwen Simon, and I created Noval Bloom from a place of heartbreak, healing, and hope.
I’ve seen what it means to walk through motherhood, loss, and recovery without a safety net. After losing my daughter at 26 weeks, I left the hospital with nothing but grief and little to no follow-up call. No coordinated care. Even with my family being present, they didn't know how to help; the silence was deafening.
But I wasn’t alone in that. I’ve watched so many people, mothers, husbands, sisters, friends, even strangers, carry the full weight of pregnancy, postpartum, and major life transitions with little to no support. Across Hamilton and the surrounding areas, I kept seeing the same thing. Society asks women, families, and patients recovering from serious health events to do the impossible: heal without help. I couldn’t sit with that anymore.
That’s why I started Noval Bloom.
Not because I have a degree in medicine or a wall of credentials, but because I have a deep calling: to be the steady presence I once needed. A warm hand. A listening heart. A reminder that rest, care, and recovery aren’t luxuries; they’re a necessity.
After birth, after loss, after the hospital doors close, Noval Bloom steps in when the medical and social systems step out. You deserve to be seen, fed and to feel safe, comfortable and supported as you heal.
This isn’t a service. It’s a movement to bring humanity back to healing, softness back to strength, and sacredness back to the spaces society forgets.
Because real care doesn’t end at discharge. IT BEGINS THERE.

What Is Noval Bloom?
Noval Bloom provides postpartum and in-home support for families in Hamilton, Ontario and the Greater Toronto Area, including meal preparation, home care, and non-clinical home assistance to support recovery after birth, illness, or major life transitions.
I’ve witnessed firsthand how much is asked of people during life’s most vulnerable seasons, and how little support they often receive in return. With postpartum, recovering from surgery, or regaining strength after an illness or a loss, so many are expected to heal, manage daily life, and hold everything together without enough help or a safe space to land.
Noval Bloom exists to change that.
We bring together a circle of customized support, including meals prepared with you in mind, home care, and warm companionship that reminds you that “You don’t have to do it all by yourself.”
Postpartum & Recovery support means having real and practical help at home after birth and leaving the hospital. Many families need this kind of support, but don’t know where to find it.
We show up so you can rest, recover, and feel truly healed.
You’re doing your best, and we see that. We’re just here to make sure you don’t have to do it on your own.
